Well hello anyone reading my blog!

I know I have been MIA a lot recently but hopefully all of that is about to change. I have found my to do list and I am ready to make some Youtube videos and livestream A LOT.
I actually thought that I would have a lot of time to do some work on my gaming stuff but these holidays have been hectic! I am lucky to have another 10 days to do as much as possible.
So to start this blog I want to talk about the changes that will be happening.
1. I know I started this blog and posted a lot and then didn't post much at all but I will be regularly posting once every week.
2. Dota will stop ruling my life and I will stop playing random games here and there. I will start the A-Z challenge next week and I will do a blog post each week on all of the important little things that I have learnt.
3. I will be a regular visitor to my minecraft server which I have neglected badly. I want to start a project that is determined by my audience.
4. All my social media sites will be continuously updated.
5. I will start a let's play with one of the many games I have neglected to play due to Dota.

Procrastination Blues

I have honestly been extremely busy/lazy to post in my blog. The last two weeks have been somewhat hellish but that is beside the point. Since being home I am just so obsessed with playing as much Dota as possible when I have so many other games I want to play. I am about to start a game right now actually and have decided that as soon as this has finished I will start being a little more productive on my gaming channel and blog and have a wider focus.

I just want to make a note here that I started this post at about 7pm and it is now 11:30pm... Dota just got under my skin arggggghhhh.

Anyways what I actually wanted to talk about was all the friends I have made since live streaming, it has been the greatest thing and they have been pretty nice to me despite me being a complete noob. Also I am going to try and organize myself and get everything I plan to do done over the Christmas holidays and not just play Dota for 20 days straight, I will honestly try.

The plan is to start my Skyrim lets play, get back onto the Minecraft server, upload my live stream videos and get working on this cosplay.

There is one other thing I am thinking of doing and that is maybe doing some sketches for my page if I get any time at all and possible some baking, we will see.

In the mean time I will be live streaming as much as possible since I don't have any more work trips planned in the near future. Thanks for reading and I hope ya'll stay tuned :)

Well this is depressing...

I received a message yesterday afternoon while I was travelling back from Jurien Bay with a severely sun burnt back :(. I was told we had used up 90% of our downloads in less than 3 weeks. I was confident that I would not use the remaining 10% in the one afternoon if I did a short live stream. A short live stream turned into 3 hours of live streaming with a lot of lag and no internet. We are capped so we can still use the internet but very slowly.... I purchased a 30 Gig data pack but I think I will be murdered if I used that up as well. This news has resulted in no live streaming for the rest of November.

On a somewhat better note this will mean that I will start my lets play Skyrim series as I will have a bit more spare time and can upload the videos during off peak so I'll still be around the shop. I am really excited to do a Skyrim lets play because this can just go on forever and ever. I am going to Perth this week for two days and next week for three days and I will be planning my Christmas party so time will be a little squishy and may mean many early morning :'(.

I did a live stream last week that was really fun because I had quite a few people watching and then they ended up playing with me. Although I lost my audience I made some cool new friends to play Dota with which I am really happy about. I have 7 whole followers and 18 on Tumblr! Little by little I am meeting some new people :D.

If this sunburn would be less painful I would be happy...

A small update

Work has been pretty full on lately and I am finding I have less time to blog but have found more time to make regular content posts. I have been live streaming a lot more and have made it a rule that I have to do it at least three times a week.
The next three weeks are hectic though so I think I may have set myself up for failure... I have my work Christmas party this weekend. My boss is taking us to Jurien Bay for a weekend of relaxation. I am so looking forward to it. The next two weeks I am going to Perth for software training which is going to be boring as hell but at least I get away from work for five days..
Live streaming is really fun and I will probably do another one tonight and hopefully my heaps noob friend will be online to play Dota with me. It is pretty fun playing with him even if he does feed a whole bunch.
Well that is basically it for now, not much else has been happening except looking at sewing machines to start making the Templar Assassin cosplay!

Christmas Came Early!

After a boring week at work I was hoping the weekend would be a nice escape from the problems I face in my professional life. I came home and flopped down on the bed. I was telling my boyfriend about what a hectic and stressful week it had been. He had this big grin on his face like he was making fun of me. I angrily asked what he thought was so funny. He looked above my head and I followed his gaze. I screamed in excitement! It was my new Nvidia Shield! I begged him to play reminding him of the shitty week I had. I have not stopped playing on it all weekend! I began by downloading all of the Pokemon games and then some of the Zelda games and then some Mortal Kombat and then Mario and just so much more. It was honestly one of the greatest weekends in a while.

I have started the Dota A-Z and obviously have started with Abaddon. He is pretty great at support and although I did win all three games I played I still feel I have a long way to go with warding and supporting in general. Map positioning is also a weak point for me. Last hitting is pretty easy but sometimes I just over reach way too much to get a last hit... I still have one more game to play with Abaddon so hopefully it will be more successful than the last three in terms of my supporting role.

Being back at work after two days is just not fair... I am looking so forward to Christmas and a two week break from the stressful work environment. I need to do some major gaming!

Yes, I am still alive

This week I may die... I haven't had much access to internet except for at work but usually I am required to do work. This Thursday NBN will be installed in our new home so hopefully we will have internet access within the next week or so. I just wanted to do a quick blog post to touch base with my blog I guess, I miss playing games and its only been about a week. I want to get onto uploading my recoil videos and once that is done I will be doing a new lets play and starting my live streams, especially live streaming my Dota 2 A-Z series (or some of it).
I was thinking of starting some clay modelling when I am not so poor and maybe starting with pokemon as their shapes can be simplified quite easily and see how much better I can get. Looking forward to trying something new :)

One down, a million to go...

Finally! I can't believe it took me a whole month to complete the Recoil series but it is done! Now I just need to decide on a new game to spend all my time with! Dota A-Z starts next month when I finally get internet back. I have finished recording Recoil but I still need to upload them and I have uploaded some in a weird order... I think I will be offline for the next week or so which will be a bit frustrating and time wasting for me but once we get the new internet up and running you just wait!
We are moving to our new house this weekend and are looking into getting the new fiber networking through the National Broadband Network (NBN) that has just been installed in Australia. I am super excited for decent internet. I have been with Telstra for the best part of this year and their internet is just so slow and always dropping out... Doesn't take much to fix but it's just annoying...
The new webcam is set up which is exciting, looking forward to doing lots of live streams and other fun stuff!
Ok well hopefully next month my blog will be a much more exciting place to be!

The Walking Dead

I just finished Telltale's The Walking Dead and it was honestly one of the BEST games I have played. I cried at the death of all the characters I liked and nearly died when Lee did! I was so depressed about the ending but loved it as well. The little cinematic with Clem at the end leaves the story open to be picked back up again (and I really hope it does!). I kind of knew how the game ended as I had watched a few Youtube clips of it being played but the experience of actually playing the game was much better.
There are lots of choices and the game was like watching a TV series with a few interactive sections. The story line was pretty unpredictable in the beginning but I could soon find patterns throughout that allowed me to guess what would happen with certain choices. My favorite characters were obviously Lee and Clemantine and I really liked Doug, Molly, Omid, Christa and Carly. I hated Kenny because he was always being a douche although what do you expect when you lose your wife and child... I liked Lilly before she killed Doug and then left her behind. I liked Ben till I found out he was a liar and then a coward so dropped him off the tower. I liked the guy with glasses who got eaten by the farmers and cried so much when I found him with his legs chopped off :'(
But this is when I cried the most....

I plan to go back and play it a few more times to see what other decisions result in.

Dota A-Z

I have made a final decision!
My goal is to do the A-Z challenge starting sometime in November. I would start it on the 1st of November but we are moving houses so that might be a bit tricky. I am planning on live streaming my A-Z game play and hoping to win most of my games hehe. I hope that by the end of this I will be less noobish. I have been spending so much time reading up on heroes abilities to try and gain an understanding of each hero and know how to counter and to complement. Obviously playing pub games is going to be pretty average but hopefully I might get some people watching who want to play with me which will be awesome!
I am looking forward at starting this challenge as I want to better myself at Dota and be better than average :)
I have also decided I might change the rules of my challenge slightly. Instead of just playing till I win with each hero I want to play at least four games with each hero and have at least one win among those four games. It may take a bit longer and I will probably only live stream one game from each hero (hopefully the winning ones hehe!) but I think the extra effort will be worth it and will help me improve immensely.
I have read a few different posts on reddit about people completing the challenge and things they learnt. I would appreciate any comments and advice anyone may have about completing this challenge.

More presents in the mail!

So following on from the arrival of our Starcraft figures another purchase finally showed up in the mail! I had been worried for weeks that I had ordered from a fake website but I am pretty accurate in determining reliable websites. So anyways I ordered Pokemon cards from the original base deck. I already had half the cards but I really wanted to complete the deck. Charizard was the most expensive at $30. The rest were between 0.50 cents and $20. Was a bit of a spending spree for me...
I am so behind with the times and I am so lucky I have Tillie feeding me all of the latest news when it comes to gaming and what not. I found out that Navi now have a girl team! I was pretty amazed and proud of my gender :) Girl Power Yeah! Although Tillie kind of rained on my parade and said that he was probably more skilled than them but they are hotter than him so it kind of evens it out!
Oh my gosh! Walking Dead is super intense! Everyone has pretty much died and its kind of sad. I wanted to cry when I found the guy in the bathroom with his legs cut off... But we are now on a train but have stopped because a tanker fell off a bridge. Kenny is a mess pretty sure he might die soon but we still have Ben who is a fucking noob! I used to like him but after I found out he was helping the bandits I was pissed... We left one of the girls behind because of him and Doug got shot :( I liked Doug...
Pretty excited because the latest episode of Walking Dead is now out and I am really excited to immerse myself in that again. I was reading the graphic novels but have fallen behind a little. They are amazing... Just so well drawn and the story line is different to the television show but good as well. I haven't heard many good things about the other walking dead game so I am not sure if I will play that.
I have also decided on my next lets play which I will start in November. It will be so exciting because I will be in my new rental which is awesome! I can't believe that October is nearly over and that my Recoil lets plays have taken nearly a month to complete. I suppose I really only get to upload videos on weekends and when I have days off...
Well I am going to start watching Walking Dead and perhaps go and find the graphic novel to read somewhere.

Starcraft 2

I have been meaning to upload a picture of my new Starcraft figures that finally came. We had been waiting ages for them and thought it was the new graphics card... We were much more excited to find these guys in the parcel! I miss Starcraft so much! I literally haven't played in ages and just sit and watch Husky commentate to fill the hole that Starcraft left in me. Honestly, I don't think I would even have time but I still miss it and can't really afford it yet... I am so excited to move these guys into our new rental that we got accepted for! Yay! Anyways here they are!

Pretty cool! 

On a somewhat unrelated note I have finally finished the 3rd island of recoil and am now recording eps of the fourth island. Unfortunately, I am playing super conservative in the newest ones as I don't want to die! I am also playing Walking Dead again and am loving the epic intense story line! Bit behind with the times I know... I have also finally clocked up 70 whole hours on Dota 2 and am able to pick up Mythical items!

Time for a break!

The last week I have been flat out working, trying to pass my exams and entertaining my boyfriend's mum and sister while they are here visiting. I am on the verge of dying from lack of sleep trying to get things organised. Fortunately this weekend I have a four day weekend and will be catching up on some much needed Dota time. I want to do a live stream sometime next week on one of my days off or when my boyfriend is at work. It is much too difficult to do a live stream with him in the background asking if he can go on the computer... So frustrating... Anyways, one thing I am really looking forward to is Christmas because I have been promised the new Nvidia Sheild! You can check out the review for it here. I am really excited to try out the new Pokemon X Y with all of their new Pokemon! 
I have also ordered a new web cam for when I do my live casts and am super excited to try it out! Unfortunately I haven't gotten around to uploading a new video but stay tuned over my long weekend for heaps of new stuff!

Happy Birthday

Today is a special day, it is my boyfriend's 22nd birthday! He is getting old... I dropped him at work at 6am today which was annoying because I have been awake ever since! I recorded a new Youtube video and have finally completed the second island of recoil. I have the rest of the month to finish this game which shouldn't be a problem unless I am super lazy... Recoil Continues

I have been pretty busy over the weekend and had to drive to Perth and back in two days to pick up my boyfriend's mum and sister. I had to drive the whole way and my new car got a dent in it :( I also lost $90 at the casino which was sad. Anyways I think I will be pretty busy the next two weeks with my boyfriend's family here but I want to finish the second island videos by the end of the week. Will try and make a new one tonight or early tomorrow morning! Still playing Dota 2 and have an idea that I want to release later down the track when I have thought about it a little more. I have also started my templar assassin cosplay! Can't wait till its finished so I can upload pictures and maybe get some ideas on what my next cosplay will be!

October is here

I can't believe that we are already in the first week of October! Time just flies when you have so much to do. Summer is approaching which means beaches and fun to normal people but to me it just means I'll need an air con to keep myself cool while gaming. I have made another video since my last one and made it much shorter and tried not to lose my train of thought as often. I have also set up a new twitch tv account to start broadcasting my game plays live! Everyone is egging me on to get a web cam but I want people to watch my twitch for my awesome personality J

I will be recording a new video tonight and uploading it to my youtube channel. As well as Youtube I have Tumblr which I mentioned in an earlier blog post, Facebook, Twitter and of course Twitch. I will provide a link for all of these on my homepage once it is all set up!

For this month I am sticking with Recoil and might broadcast a bit of Dota as well as starting a new Pokemon video series. I would like to get opinions from people of which version of Pokemon I should play.

Let's Play Recoil!

Well I wanted to start this let's play when October started but I was just much too excited and I think in the process I recorded a 25 minute video. Lets be honest, who is going to sit and watch a 25 minute video of a noob. I can't be bothered cutting it down so the next ones are going to be shorter (I hope). I'm also pretty sure that this is not what my voice sounds like... I hate my voice in recordings but that must be what I sound like everyday and I don't even know it!

A gamers predicament

I have been loving my new PC and just playing on it a tonne. I have wanted to put a lets play video up for a while or what I like to call a how not to play video. I just can't decide on the content! I am just full of ideas and trying to decide which one to pick first! I usually end up coming home from work and playing 5 hours of dota and then going to sleep... I really want to share my gaming so that people can point me in the right direction to actually becoming half decent. I really wanted my first video to be on Minecraft however I still can't find a server I actually want to join... So I think my only option is to create my own! This could be a really fun experience or it could be the complete opposite if I don't do this right. I am mainly trying to decide whether to host my own server or if I should pay to have it hosted else where... decisions, decisions!
As I have said earlier I am rubbish at Dota and am a little too embarrassed to be uploading any videos to do with that. My other option is my all time favorite game from my childhood; Recoil. It is this game where you are a tank and you kill other tanks and complete missions. I have only just worked out how to install it on this PC as it is a 1998 game so its super old but honestly the funnest game. The other issue I have is that the campaign would take 4 hours max to complete so the fun doesn't last all that long and because I have played it before I can easily win the game in 4 hours. I have 10 games waiting to be installed on my computer but my addiction with Dota is just taking over my gaming life and I really don't know what to do! One thing I have been really enjoying is all of the Dota fan art that pops up on my tumblr. I reblog heaps of it and heaps on Pokemon stuff, anime stuff, Cosplay stuff and much much more. Who says I'm too old for Pokemon?!

In between playing Dota, trawling for a decent Minecraft server, working, studying, eating and sleeping I have been trying to rewatch and catch up on my Pokemon! I am currently watching the first season. I stopped watching after the movie with Celbi in it. I am also playing Pokemon Fire Red in my spare time (what spare time???). I have been addicted to Pokemon since I was in Primary school when the Trading Card Game was popular and we had the old school cards that just looked so much better than the new ones. I am kind of hesitant to watch new episodes of Pokemon as I don't want to ruin this childhood love that I have had for Pokemon.
I have been in an extremely good spending mood lately and dished out some cash to finish off my base set. I had to buy most of the holographs and let me tell you now they are not cheap... I would love to complete Gym Heroes next. By the looks of it those ones are going to cost an arm and a leg as well. I hate having addictions...
Its so funny because I haven't watch Pokemon in literally... forever! But I remember every episode like it was yesterday! I would love to do a lets play with the pokemon games and especially when I can get my hands on a Rom for the X & Y game which comes out in 20ish days I think. I am pretty nervous to do a lets play as I am just not as skilled as everyone else on the net (which is to be expected). I am pretty thick skinned though so its not like people saying mean stuff will deter me from anything (although gamers can be assholes!).
Wish I didn't have to work... I would be at home Dotaing...

I mean who honestly lets their 10 year old son go out in the wild and almost done... Parenting 101! Its almost as sad as when he lets butterfree go :( Anyways... I'll stop reminiscing now...

Dota 2: the obsession

Well I have literally only been playing Dota 2 since I got my new PC. It is such an amazing game despite all the people on my facebook telling me League of Legends is the way to go. Honestly, I haven't tried Lol yet but I am so addicted to Dota that changing games now may send me into shock...
I have taken a real liking to Lion and his awesome abilities. I just stun and hit them with the finger and most enemies are dead otherwise I will hex them and hit them till they die. I have played maybe 12 games of Dota now and have won 5 games so I am doing ok so far. Another hero I really like is Windrunner but I am not as good at her as I am with Lion.
The game play for Dota is quite straight forward, destroy the enemies base. It is the extensive range of heroes, items and strategies that has me reading every wiki page on the internet about Dota.
On a different note, I have also installed Skyrim and have been playing that as well. I used to play it on a regular basis when I lived in Thailand and it was one of my favorite games. Starcraft 2 also featured in my favorite games but I think I preferred watching Husky commentate games than me actually play.
Once I throw my Dota obsession I will start trying to find a decent server to play Minecraft on and possibly upload some videos. Unfortunately I am absolutely rubbish at Dota that I would be too embarrassed to upload any videos of me playing :)

...And we're off!

Finally my first blog post!

I have been waiting so long to be able to do this. I have been preparing and anxiously waiting for the time when I could finally launch my own online blog. After spending thousands of dollars on a new PC, new games and waiting weeks for all the parts to get here my gaming blog is moments from staring. Now I know that the gaming blog/vlog thing has been over done and the market is just saturated with blogs and videos but I am doing this for myself. I love gaming to death, I would quit my job and just game all day if it paid the bills and could keep my expensive lifestyle going but alas I don't think this will be making an income at all. I'm doing this for the love! :)

So, to start I want to talk about the games that I love to play and what I want to cover in my blog. I am an old school gamer, I grew up in the 90's when the graphics were gritty but the game play was challenging! It was when Pokemon was popular and Mario ruled supreme. The old school Nintendos and the old Sony 1 was what I used to play when I could. My new PC has been jammed pack with Roms and Emulators from all those old 90's games. However, new games are going to make appearances in this blog as well. At the moment I am playing Skyrim, The Walking Dead, Starcraft 2, Dota 2, Minecraft and many more that still all need installing.

My goal is to be uploading 3-5 new videos and week and posting blogs whenever I can. I don't care if they don't get read they are kind of like my own little gaming journal that I can be proud of. Honestly, I suck at gaming but I love it and I want to share that passion with a community of people. If this ever does get read, give me ideas! Tell me games I should play and try out. I am pretty versatile and like most games.
